DETECTOther
Jev Defect Detection Dataset
This project uses Jev, a fast decision-making model, to build a dataset of circles with defects, aiming to create challenging cases for human inspection and demonstrate AI capabilities in defect detection.
I have been messing around with Jev @typesafeai and since it is a fast decision-making model thought it would be good to ask Codex to build a dataset of circle with defects where the Codex created challenging cases that stump a human and make them curious and be like: "if I don't get it, will an AI get it?"
Codex @OpenAIDevs ran Jev on a 1000 sample dataset - it ran through the batch in 23s with 78% accuracy.
I think the defect detection problem is well-known and our exposition here invokes the "damn, that's hard, can an AI get it?" feeling and then proceed to show a fast AI gets it and blazes through it.
A much harder version of defect detection with very little data connects to my PhD problem so @belltyler might find this Jev use case interesting since he's on my PhD comittee, has seen some of my PhD work and is the GenAI GOAT
Check out the demo video Codex made eith very little prompt steering with ElevenLabs MCP- this was 5.6 Sol on high, not 5.6 Sol high 😂
