I spent my weekend going through Jev, the AI model everyone is talking about. Here is the simple version.

An AI that does not write anything. No chat, no code. You give it text and a question, it gives you a decision.
It answers only 3 types:
→ Yes / No with % confidence
→ Pick one from a list (up to 255 options)
→ Score on a scale
-Speed: 70 to 500 milliseconds per answer
-Price: $0.042 per 1M input tokens. Output is free.
Real numbers from early users:
• 1,018 research papers sorted for $0.08
• 5,000 requests for about $2
• One test: ~25x faster than Claude Fable 5.1
Useful for:
• Support teams sorting tickets
• HR screening resumes
• Apps routing prompts to the right model
• Devs checking if an AI agent's action is safe

A human takes ~7 seconds per resume = 20+ hours.

Limits:
• Can't write, do math or read images
• Only 32K context
My take: a fast, cheap decision layer. Not a ChatGPT replacement. Use it next to a big model, not instead of it.
