Jev, @typesafeai's new AI decision model, is everywhere this week, so I wanted to see how far fast, cheap decisions generalize to games. Poker is a game I like, and one where @polynoamial's bots already beat the pros. The question: does Jev know how to play decent poker? The best way to find out is to make it play. So I did, preflop first. All 169 starting hands of no-limit hold'em, each in five table situations, 4,225 decisions, benchmarked against four reference styles, from ultra-tight to the game-theory-optimal play @GTOWizard teaches.
