I’m now experimenting with Jev in the console, playground, and API. Jev is TypeSafe’s new System One Model: instead of generating strings like a traditional LLM, it takes context/state as input and returns fast, typed probabilistic decisions that software can act on.
For my first playground experiment, I asked, “What color is the sky?” Jev selected Baby Blue at 78%, versus Electric Blue at 21% and Gray at 1%, with 73% confidence — and completed the decision in milliseconds.
That speed is what makes this interesting. TypeSafe is already demonstrating Jev making real-time decisions in Doom, while the broader idea is machine-native intelligence for automation, workflows, classification, routing, scoring, and other real-time applications.
